Organization, durability, and weather protection are key factors for a great adventure travel pack. Forming a brand new product category for Camelbak, the Adventure Travel Pack (A.T.P.) launched in two sizes — 20 and 26 — and two colorways, hitting many firsts for the company. The packs were the company’s first strictly DTC product, the first undyed pack, the first pack sold “dry” without a reservoir, and a source of personal pride: Camelbak’s most sustainable product to date.
The larger of the packs — A.T.P. 26 — has a folding weather resistant lid with a center compression strap, and at 26L it can hold a full days’ worth of work and personal items while expanding when needed to haul extra gear. From the aesthetics, material selection, and features, the goal was to keep the overall design as simple as possible without sacrificing key performance qualities. This pack is super feature rich and constructed from a lightweight and durable Recycled 210D Re/COR CORDURA with performance coatings to keep the pack clean and gear dry. My personal favorite features are the 4 compression straps which deploy from the back panel and attach to bonded Hypalon points on the face of the pack. This is where I love to put trekking poles, a yoga mat, a wet layer, or to just compress the pack load. This product was made for those that hit the trail in the morning, work by day, and head to the city by night.
